The dangers of genetically modified trees

Genetic engineers have turned trees into killers. The trees are modified in order to produce toxins with every single cell, thus disturbing the eco-balance, disturbing pollination and poisoning the soil. 
Toxins such as "Bt" can also be dangerous for human health, but what would be more dangerous than a barrow wasteland?
